TVMonaco to be the official Monégasque and French broadcaster of the UIM E1 World Championship presented by PIF
Monaco, 22 January 2026 - TVMonaco has won the Monégasque and French rights to broadcast the E1 World Championship, the world’s first electric raceboat Championship, it was announced today on the eve of the E1 Jeddah GP 2026.
An innovative and spectacular water-based competition, E1 has rapidly established itself as the benchmark Championship for electric water sports.
Bringing together the most innovative electric race boats in the world, the competition combines cutting-edge technology, elite sporting performance and environmental commitment. The agreement coincides with the debut of a Monégasque team in the Championship.
The 2026 season will feature 10 teams, making it E1’s biggest field yet, including the arrival of Team Monaco. Team owners include global sports legends such as Tom Brady, LeBron James and Rafael Nadal.
Led by pilots Oban Duncan and Frenchman Maxime Nocher, Team Monaco will proudly represent the Principality throughout the season, with the ambition of shining on the international racing stage.
French interest can also be found at 2025 runners-up Team Rafa where Tom Chiappe competes alongside Spanish pilot Cris Lazarraga who are both again set to be contenders for the Championship title.
2026 is set to be E1’s biggest season yet having published an eight-race calendar that visits coastal cities spanning four continents: from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to the landscapes of Lake Como, paying a visit to the iconic shores of Monaco on 17 and 18 July.
The Championship battle focuses on close, exciting racing that puts fans at the heart of the action and which is now broadcast to over 230 territories.
Each race weekend follows an intense format including free practice sessions, qualifying rounds, knockout races and a final.
As the Principality’s public television channel, TVMonaco reaffirms its commitment to broadcasting major international sporting events.
The channel will air the entire 2026 E1 season, in Monaco and France, on TVMonaco and TVMonaco.com.
For this opening round, races will be commentated by Benjamin Lamy and Monégasque former-E1 racer Lisa Caussin Battaglia. Loïc Kiefer will be on site in Jeddah, providing behind-the-scenes coverage and following Team Monaco from inside the paddock.
